NEW BLOOMFIELD - How much money would you pay to know if any sex offenders live in your area?

Santa Barbara, Calif.-based Kids Live Safe charges its subscribers $29.97 per month, or $59.88 per year, to tell them where registered sex offenders live in relation to their houses, schools or other places they frequent. Users can set up email alerts for up to four addresses, install filters to monitor their children's online activity, and create profiles of their children to give to law enforcement if their children ever disappear.

Here's the catch: The sex offender information Kids Live Safe provides at cost can be accessed for free through the Missouri State Highway Patrol's website.

Detective Tom O'Sullivan, of the Boone County Sheriff's Department, said state and federal law require anyone who commits a sex crime to register as a sex offender. The registry includes a description of the person and their vehicle, where they live and work and what crime they committed. Missouri law requires the Highway Patrol to make such information available through its website at no cost.

Kids Live Safe representatives turned down multiple requests to speak on the record for this story. A company representative reached by phone said the subscription pays for tools government-run online databases cannot provide, such as the email alerts and filtering software.

It's time to go after the governor and attorney general of the state of Arizona. Stupid seems to run rampant in Arizona!

A great dissection of the truth.

It is not at all surprising that these morons seems to think they know better than the rest of us what is necessary and right. It's bad enough at the Federal level but you would think our state legislature would have a better sense of reality. Oddly, they seem to be more militant and, therefore, less likely to make rational decisions...
As for the First amendment, well, since when has that done anybody any good? The "Stupreme" Court had the chance to stop or, at least, regulate pornography way back before the internet. It chose not to and supported it as free speech. That left the door open for congress and others to make pornography not only illegal (in certain circumstances) but actually supported the growth of the industry. In that way, they actually laid the foundations for child pornography and are liable for all the pain caused and inflicted in the promotion, distribution, production, persecution and prosecution of CP!
Knowing this, they are loathe to make any ruling that may lessen the overly burdensome penalties for possession (let alone distribution) in the U.S. Taxpayers pay the price for their lack of vision and nobody chooses to see it since the doddering old fools stand aloof from the rest of us and think they speak for God!

It seems to have its own season . But as we see the support of law inforcement and it's protections are being challenged, for a fee . Is proof this system has its own audience to pay the price for something that is for free an least effective .
Lets put it this way; DOCJ along with law inforcement are promoting vigilanty and ignorance from state and federal information, for false protection to further harrassment situations of parental neglect and poor supervision .
If this guy can hide behind a corperation and can't be reached may be on the registry him self, better yet never caught . Or as a sex cop would say ; ( they used to be called vice ) he is doing this to get closer to your children with your support .

Yet another stpid way to get rich scheme against ex-sex offenders.

"We as humans like to take pride in our centuries of supposed social evolution. . ." Arguably, I do not think so. Humans have been the same since the fall of Adam and Eve, and with a lot of help from the unseen Angel who took a nose dive from the glorious Kingdom. We have not changed at all. Geography yes; real estate yes; human behavior NO. The hate, bigotry, fear, terror, pre-judgmental attitudes, hysteria, is all too in force today as it was say, 2000 years ago.

Hmm. . . I must be missing something here, "to share any image of nudity or sexuality before you get consent from every person pictured." It is hard to imagine how one would get permission from say a couple of 3-5 year olds having real fun in the tub with a bubble bath and mom and dad just enjoying their little fish but then you must get permission those 3-5 year olds. Good going Arizona! Yet another brilliant showing of the absolute mind-set of the United States of AmeriKa. Or in this case moralityville USA. And to NJ45143112: KUDOS to you!!!

Yes Natalie, there are some truly "bad" people in the world. It is historical. And then there are those who are so screwed up, they fall by the way side doing things that can hurt those close to them, and all around them. You courage to not crucify him is truly good. Just listen to professionals who know how many of these matters start and you will understand many dynamics that lead to offenses as you have described for a better understanding. And always remember Christ died for you, and your brother and all others. It is a pity that so, so many others do have the inner tenacity as you to to speak up with the truth.

It's also encroachment and reckless endangerment under a false pretense.

Abusive acts are more prevalent than we imagine. Many are never discovered or brought to light. The question we need to ask is : what is about our society that contributes to the abuse?
My opinion if we want a respectful society regarding children or anyone for that matter, we need to stop making movies, games and other mediums that exploit and influence our imagination. We are what we watch, read and see with our eyes and hear. Next teach self control from a young age as the number on character building quality. It is not success it is character the foundation of a nation's people.
The environment is stronger than we area and influences our behavior.
A humanistic society, learn that life is sacred in all its forms and must be respected. Many people are ultra sensitive and get affected by the ills and wars, the crimes and all they see. Then there are those with brain damage and those born with neurological defects, with obsessive and distorted thinking. Science is proving this and also gives the solutions to heal, change and rehabilitate.
We have had some significant rehab with neurofeedback now becoming prevalent as a therapy to rewire your brain and reach an optimal state...so there is hope for those that suffer.
In my home we use a lot of prevention knowing human nature and we limit the occasion children are not supervised.

What can I do as a sex offender to help?

Jason Sanders said...

That's a good word " reconcile" Forgiveness is a Christ like quality. If we don't forgive others how is the father gone to forgive us. Forgiveness is a quality some of us don't want to do. It humiliates us, but than again we have to forgive others of there trespasses. God's way is the best way.

Scarlett Letters are manmade sins of people to form some type of control over others and to degrade them. Pride is a downfall of those that try to control others and just as this sex registry is used to control the populous of the people there is all forms of Scarlett letters. It is a method used in defrauding ones character whether its sexual immorality or saying someone is a trashy person. It is a public letter type of "witch hunt" used to create an in balance in mankind. This type of action is going on today with the sex registry and that is characteristic of man as man would like others to conform to there norms or forms of behavior.
It all goes back to the bible times. The community would like to know every piece of dirt a person has and would like to get rid of that dirt just like some leaders in the past have used this method and tried to get rid of some that didn't conform to their thoughts and thinking.
Its a type of Government Control, that's all a scarlet letter is but since people want to bring sex out in the open and inform neighbors of those that live next door to you, than they are not thinking of others better than themselves.
Anybody that wants to shame somebody, let them first take a look at the dirt they have on them. I am a sinner and have all kinds of flaw's just the same as the person reading this comment. None of us are perfect and that goes for law enforcement also.

Yes. Thank you so much. So many are destroyed for the protection of so few. I look forward to the day the words "sex offender" will be looked on as just as discriminatory and wrong as "nigger", "spic", and "fag". There must be protection for all, but not at the expense of the lives of those who have paid the price society claims in return for their crimes: a prison sentence, probation, or counciling. Life time sentences while still being in the public only serve to keep people from rehabilitation and becoming a productive member of society.

I have been on the LIST since 1997. Since my release from 10 years in TDCJ I have earned 1 degree in business as well as started my own company. Working on my second. I had to buy my own house to shake off the cock roaches but now im in a position to fight the war. Im starting on the college where I earned my degree. They forced me to register to them 5 different times even though Tx law states that I only register to a primary authority which is the county where I live. The school shared this information without my consent which violates the hell out of FERPA. Any who been waiting on the US Dept of Education for over a year to complete thier investigation. Cant wait to see the look on thier face when they have to pay the piper. Keep fighting these cowards who arent smart enough to fit in with the rest of the force so they get put on SO duty. They should know when the chief assigns a cop to that post he already thinks youre retarded.

Sounds crazy to me. The human body is a beautiful work of art, well for some anyway, lol. The only time this should be a crime is when someone is a victim, (subject of photo is a child, unwilling participant, etc).

Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. I'm still waiting for the catastrophe that will "force" FEMA, or some other government agency, to round up as many sex offenders as possible and place them in internment camps, or some such. It's not like they don't know where they all are...

I, for one, would like to see sex offenders unite to form local and state chapters that meet regularly to collect funds for legal filings, rallies for rights, and to form labor unions. There is strength in numbers and in statistics. The laws that bind us have given us both tools to break our bonds.

Are you saying I should take my views elsewhere? It doesn't seem like any of the organizations that are supposed to help are gaining much ground.
