SALINE COUNTY - Saline County Sheriff's Deputies walked door to door in an area of Saline County handing sex offender fact sheets and a letter explaining their warning to homeowners.

The level three sex offender has served his time, in fact according to the flier he's been incarcerated for his entire adult life.

But it's the explicit description of the crime, rape and kidnapping that concerns people here.

"They're highly upset. But there's nothing you can do about it. And in there it says we can't harass him. We can't do anything about it."

Several months ago after attending worship at a local church I was told not to come back. I made no secret of my conviction for sexual abuse so they could take reasonable precautions against my creating any new victims. I had been giving 10% of my income any time I had any income and I feel now they obtained that money under false pretenses. But the Scriptures say not the bring any suites against fellow believers.

Fellow believers? How can they be when they took your income and then deny you to worship? I see that as theft. Whether the religion be Catholic or Christianity both believe in "Christian",the definition of being "Christ Like". We are all to strive to be like Christ, to follow in his footsteps. Sadly, many church goers are hypocrites. I hope you find another place to worship with those of faith that will accept you.

Sorry to hear that, but like Sloan44 said, many in the church, in our opinion, are there to make themselves look good to others, not to God.

You are correct in calling them hypocrites. Thos who judge others are called hypocrites by Jesus in Matthew's gospel in Chapter 7 Verse 5. Read from verse 1 to get the context. When I was in prison and met inmates who refused to enter the chapel for worship it was my counter argument to point out it was not about the people in the pew with you, but about the relationship you had with the God you worship.

But people will harrass RSO's and "there is nothing you can do about it"!

Well if the person(s) attacked reported it to the police and the police did their job, then it would send a strong message to people who do harass RSO's. Maybe if they start going to jail or prison then it might stop?

Sure they will and sure you can, report it and take them to court. Harassing someone is a crime!
