HAMBURG (WIVB) - A former U.S. Customs and Border Protection supervisor has pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. The U.S. Attorney’s Office says 41-year-old Steven Metz, of Hamburg, admits to the charge after images were found on his computer last October.
The U.S. Attorney’s office says Metz was found to possess video and more than 600 images of child porn and videos on his computer. Some of the files are said to be sadistic or masochistic conduct or other depictions of violence, and some of the children in the images are under the age of 12.
Metz could face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and a term of supervised release of at least five years to life.
