Politicians and DA's have you finally spread the big lie enough? Of course not. they are exempt from any backlash of all the propaganda they spread about sex offenders. The news media jumps in anytime the word sex offender is mentioned and then the panic continues to grow. There is a law being worked on to dictate where these clinics can be located however it will not satisfy everyone as they will be placed someplace. these clinics are no more than a baby sitting operation created by the state to monitor sex offenders on probation as they are directly tied to the courts and supervision. The majority of these sex offenders are low risk offenders as if not they would be in prison because of measure 11 or would be returning to county jail and back to prison for any small infraction that is perceived by the counselors and probation. So of all the offenders out there these are the closest monitored. Reason being is if someone were to reoffended they most likely would in the first three years after being released. So yes these are the most likely of all sex offenders to re offend but are also the most supervised. If you look at statistics you will find that five to ten percent will re offend however you're more likely to be struck by lightening or win the lotto then any of these people offending anywhere close to counseling. However everyone has an opinion and will judge based on their own beliefs. so if by your standards and based on how you view yourselves and then apply this to everyone else I'm sure some will say people can not control their sexual dysfunctions. It has been proven that even the politicians that campaign and pass sex offenders laws at some point get exposed as being no better than the ones they say are so dangerous and beyond help. Not so surprising as this is a human condition and politicians are human aren't they? One that comes to mind for the ones protesting in Portland is Neil Goldschmidt a ex governor of Oregon and surprisingly also an ex mayor of Portland early in his political career. he had an on going sexual relationship with a 14 year old child while he was mayor and he was also promoted sex offender laws. One has to wonder who we should listen to as even the politicians from Portland Oregon are just as guilty at times of the same actions they protests and lobby against. There are others that have been in the news in the past but he is one that you can look up. So out of the ones standing around with a sign in their hands protesting and given that 90 percent of all sex crimes are not reported are any of these people like Neil? statistically you will have out of any group several that have committed a sex crime in their past but were not reported. does this make them any less dangerous. If the only dangerous ones are the ones prosecuted maybe they can take issue with where sex offenders are. This is not the case. The ones that were prosecuted were the ten percent the ones that were not as in the 90 percent of unreported crimes against children are still passing laws and protesting. One has to wonder how deep this denial runs in Oregon and the rest of the nation for that matter.

The man who organized this "protest" is Chris Piekarski, former prosecutor who now works for Big Insurance. Members of his group have shot the windows of the clinic with a pellet gun and have threatened individuals who support the treatment center. To give credence to this group of extremists is an embarrassment to fair and balanced reporting. Piekarski has admitted he does not want treatment programs anywhere. Piekarski feels increasing recidivism is a small price to pay for that false sense of security. Join the fight against Piekarski here:

I guess Soap Operas were running repeats that day. Same old song here in my view: You get 20-30 people out there with signs, and the local or even state powers, will cow-tout for them. In short it goes like this: "Our Government who art in town, hallowed be they laws, ordinances etc. and the laws to come; give us this day our daily laws, and forgive us our trespasses if we do not pray to you enough, as we will NEVER forgive those who (may have) trespassed against us. For yours is the kingdom and glory to the draconian laws you make for our safety - AMEN

How come they just don't round us Ex offenders up and kill us all off? I mean this is just plain BS! Not to mention there needs to be some LAW to PROTECT US! I am so sick of this living in fear! This is in humane! And yet it still keeps going on and on and on! I can't wait till the people get just what they asked for and that would be for ALL ex offenders to be rounded up and MURDERED! And they need to do this while ever one watch! And make it a law too! Any one not watch the Execution of sex offenders will be given the same punishment as the sex offenders!

Tom: If it keeps going at the pace it is going, your thoughts/comment(s) may come true!

Loneranger: Yes, it is true, all this treatment business I have witnessed are very similar to baby-sitting and/or keeping offenders under someone's thumb ordered by the state under the guise of "treatment." Why is this done? I believe the state believes that a person is convicted of a sexual offense, it is a matter of time before one will re-offend again. Therein lies the sneaky "CONCLUSIVE PRESUMPTION," that ALL sex offenders are DANGEROUS.
