FL - Teen arrested, expelled for alleged same-sex relationship

Original Article

We are so sorry she is being forced into all this, but it happens all the time. The sex offender hysteria needs to stop, and the media needs to start reporting facts and show this for what it is, pure fear mongering and hysteria that is ruining kids lives. The child should've been given a warning, not prison and ruined for life! The laws that are suppose to protect children are ruining their lives before they even start. Also, this is not about same sex relationships, it's about the insanity of the sex offender laws and hysteria!

SEBASTIAN - [mother name withheld] said it's been a nightmare since her daughter, 18-year-old [name withheld], was arrested on a charge of "lewd and lascivious battery of a child 12 to 16 years old."

"She's scared to death, she can't sleep," said [mother name withheld], from her and [name withheld]'s home on Sunday night.

[mother name withheld] said [name withheld] became friends with an underaged female student at Sebastian River High School at the beginning of the school year.

"They began a dating relationship," [mother name withheld] recalled. "Never in my mind did I consider what that meant."

[name withheld], a former cheerleader and basketball player, was expelled from school after the arrest. [mother name withheld] hopes what she calls the "overwhelming" online support could somehow help get [name withheld]'s charge dropped.

Their family's "Free Kate" Facebook page has more than 14,000 members, and their change.org petition has more than 40,000 signatures.

"I just put our story out there on Friday," said [mother name withheld]  "I wanted people to know what was going on. Within thirty minutes, I had so many outpouring support. On Saturday evening, we crashed the change.org website. The president of change.org contacted us personally."

"She is the sweetest girl," [mother name withheld] continued. "I wondered if I was crazy, if it was only because I'm a mom. But I wondered if anyone else thought, like me, that this was wrong and unjust. Apparently, they do."

The family also created an online account to assist with their $50,000 legal fees incurred, according to [mother name withheld].

[mother name withheld] spent all Sunday morning passing out 1,000 "STOP THE HATE, SAVE KATE" green bracelets. She is hoping the attention could help to avoid a trial.

"It's not something I want for my daughter, and it's not something I want for the other girl," said [mother name withheld].

[mother name withheld] said the relationship was consensual. She questions why the parents of [name withheld]'s girlfriend chose to press charges.

"You get with me, and say, hey, as a mom, this is going on and I don't like this, let's talk about this," said [mother name withheld]  "I would have sat down with her, I would have sat down with our children, and I would have nipped it in the bud, and I would have respected her."

The state attorney's office has offered [name withheld] a plea deal, which would include two years of house arrest.

[mother name withheld] doesn't feel [name withheld] deserves the penalty if they don't accept, and they lose her case. She denies her daughter's actions were criminal.

"She would have a lifetime sexual offender on her record," said [mother name withheld]  "She would not be able to, we think we all know what that means. It's a death sentence for her, her life would be over at 18."

"[name withheld] would not hurt a fly," said [mother name withheld]  "She didn't know what she was doing was quote, unquote 'wrong' or illegal. There was no intent to hurt anybody or commit a crime. I know that's not an excuse for the letter of the law, but it's reality."

ID - It's not all about sex for female offenders

Original Article

The same can be said for males. The lady in the article talks about double standards when females are convicted compared to males, but then she goes on to say more double standard stuff.

Something you will also notice, the title of the articles when women are charged with sex with children. Males usually have the "pedophile," or "predator" or some other derogatory remark in the title, but women, nope. Women can be pedophiles as well, but pedophiles by definition, are rare.

By Mike Murad

BOISE (KBOI) - The story shocked the valley. A 35-year-old Kuna mom accused of having sex with eight of her teenage son's friends.

This story was shocking on its own, but there are several other valley women serving time right now as sexual offenders.

KBOI-TV spoke with a local counselor who treats sex offenders. She told us some years she has no female clients.

That's hardly the case now.

But it's why they're doing it that seems to separate male from female sex offenders.
- This story leads you to believe that women do it for other reasons and men only do it for sex, which is flat out wrong.  Some do, some don't, mostly it's about control.

[name withheld][name withheld], [name withheld] and [name withheld] are just four of the local women now labeled as sex offenders. And all of their victims are under 16.

"You think about the 16-year-old boy that hooks up with the really attractive 30 year-old down the street, and our society, our culture, hasn't wanted to call that sexual abuse," says Sandra McCullough, a sex offender treatment counselor.
- I think the media is also to partly blame for this double standard.  They don't report on female sex offenders as often as we know they occur, so people tend to think it doesn't happen very much, but we are sure it does happen more than people believe.

McCullough says there are some years she hasn't seen a single female client. Right now she has six.

But McCullough doesn't think it's happening more often, it's just being reported more.

"I think we're just starting to wake up and realize it's offending," says McCullough. "And people are prosecuting, they're not sweeping it under the table. They're saying this is not OK."

Erica Kallin agrees. She heads the Special Victim's Unit at the Canyon County Prosecutor's Office. Kallin says prosecuting female over male sex offenders has inherent hurdles.
- Why?  They should all be treated the same.

"It's extremely difficult," says Kallin. "It's a huge double standard when you're looking at offenders."

Kallin says, society tends to think an adolescent boy is "getting lucky" or "scored" when he has a sexual relationship with a woman, but the same doesn't hold when the roles are reversed.

There is one big difference when it comes to the question of "why" for male and female offenders.

McCullough says women who sexually abuse children aren't always looking for sex.
- And neither are all men!

"Part of what's hard is that they will say things like 'I didn't give a rip about the sex,'" says McCullough. "Women will get into those situations for emotional gratification because they're lonely. We have that with men also, but they have the underlying attraction to the female that I don't see very often with females."
- But you said above that you've not seen many females in your many years, so are you basing this all on a few cases?

Despite female sex offenders making news more often in the Treasure Valley recently, female sex crimes are far from an epidemic.
- And so is male sex crimes.

Twenty three percent of male inmates in Idaho have a sexual component to their crimes. For females, it's less than 1 percent.
- If they sexually abused anybody, then there is a sexual component.  I think people are trying to make this more difficult than it is.  Women are usually the ones who falsely accused others of sexual crimes, and when it comes out, most did it because they didn't want their husband / mothers, etc to find out about their sex-capades.  And women can get a way with claiming they were lonely, etc, etc, but if a male tried that it wouldn't matter, they'd still be convicted of the crime, as the woman should as well.

[name withheld] was a 37-year-old married mother of three and a teacher at Meridian Middle School when she was caught in September, 2009 with a 13-year-old boy in bushes near the school.

Three months later [name withheld] pleaded guilty to having sex with him.

"I failed to be the responsible and moral adult I should have been," [name withheld] said during her sentencing. "And I only wish I could go back and re-do those two months of my life."

KBOI-TV contacted [name withheld]  who is serving her sentence in Pocatello, to ask her why she would risk her family, her career and her reputation to have sex with a child.

[name withheld] declined an interview, but sent us a letter.

She wrote, in part, she has "deep feelings of remorse... for the pain and harm my selfish actions have caused my victim..."
- And I'm sure most believe her at face value, but if a male said what she said, they'd not believe him.

[name withheld] also wrote that the treatment she's receiving in prison has been "exceptional."

But therapy for female sex offenders is still relatively new and changing.

"We're flying by the seat of our pants," says McCullough. "I see more mental health issues with the females. Quite often, they're almost more psychologically damaged," she says. "Not all of them, but a good chunk of them, which makes recovery more difficult."
- Why are you flying by the seat of your pants?  Treatment should be the same for everyone, regardless of whether you have a penis or not.  And the same can be said for males as well.

[name withheld] was sentenced to 20 years in prison, but she can ask for parole after serving just four years.

If she is granted parole, she could be out as early as this December.

FL - Cops: Woman (Krystle Harrison) Bit Boyfriend's Penis Over Sex Refusal

Krystle Harrison
Original Article

05/16/2012

When her amorous advances were repeatedly rejected by her live-in boyfriend, Krystle Harrison allegedly “bit his penis” in retaliation, police allege.

Harrison, 19, and [name withheld], 24, were in bed late last night in their Bradenton, Florida home when Harrison “wanted to have sex,” according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.

In a bid to entice [name withheld]  Harrison “began to touch him.” But [name withheld] told her “several times that he did not want to partake,” a deputy noted.

[name withheld] told an investigator that after turning away Harrison, she grabbed him and “bit his penis.” He then pushed her away and left the home, which the couple shares with their infant son.

The dispute continued outside the residence, where Harrison allegedly slapped her beau in the face and “then spit in his facial area.” [name withheld] also “received minor scratches to his upper chest” during the tangle with Harrison, whom he has dated for three years.

Harrison, seen above, was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery and booked early today into the county jail, where bond has not been set.
- What about sexual abuse?  If a man did this it would be considered rape!

[name withheld] told a deputy that he did not want to press charges and refused to complete a sworn affidavit about the confrontation. He also declined medical treatment for his bitten penis.

CA - Supremacist (Charles Francis Gaskins) jailed for killing sex offender

Charles Gaskins & Sandra Sheaves
Original Article

This is exactly why the sex offender registry needs to be taken offline and used by police only!

05/03/2013

A Northern California white supremacist convicted of killing a child molester has been sentenced to 26 years to life in prison, while his wife - convicted of being an accessory - will be released from jail in about two months, The Sacramento Bee reported Saturday.

Charles Francis Gaskins, 48, was sentenced Friday after pleading no contest in March for the killing of [name withheld] in 2009. A probation report said Gaskins was a member of a supremacist group that required its members to attack anyone with a history of child molestation.

Gaskins and his wife - Sandra Sheaves - was living in a home she owned in Carmichael, a community outside of Sacramento, when they allowed the 66-year-old [name withheld] to move in. Gaskins had met [name withheld] while they were both serving time in prison, The Bee said.

When Sheaves discovered on the Megan's Law website that [name withheld] was a registered sex offender, she told Gaskins.

Gaskins and Sheaves confronted [name withheld] in the garage of the home, with Gaskins killing him by repeatedly hitting him in the head with a large rock, prosecutors said.

[name withheld]' body was later found dumped along the side of a rural road about 35 miles away in Placerville.

As part of his no-contest plea, Gaskins insisted authorities go easy on Sheaves, who also was charged with [name withheld]' murder.

Prosecutors agreed, allowing her to plead no contest to accessory to murder. Sheaves, 43, was sentenced to eight years in prison.

"In a way, you almost instigated this, by showing the information from Megan's Law to Mr. Gaskins," Sacramento Superior Court Judge Sharon Lueras said in sentencing Sheaves.

With time served and other factors, Sheaves is expected to be released in 66 days, according to her attorney, James Warden.

UK - Woman’s (Lana Robertson) harassment ‘distressed’ ex-police officer sex offender

Original Article

04/23/2013

By KIRSTY TOPPING

A woman launched a campaign of harassment against a former policeman after finding out he had been convicted of possessing indecent images containing children, a court has heard.

Lana Robertson, 37, was found guilty at Perth Sheriff Court of making abusive remarks to [name withheld] in August and October 2011.

Mr [name withheld] was jailed in 2009 after being found with 14 indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children and 43 indecent videos depicting children as young as three engaged in sexual acts with adults and animals.

He was sentenced to one year in prison, and put on licence for a further two. He was also placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years.

Robertson, formerly of Rannoch Road, denied the charges and claimed the accusations had been fabricated to “get her into trouble”.

The court heard how she had shouted “paedo” and “paedophile” at Mr [name withheld].

Mr [name withheld] and his partner of 14 years, [partner name withheld], told how the abuse had left them “upset” and “fearful”.

Sheriff Lindsay Foulis was told how, on August 23 2011, Robertson screamed abuse at Mr [name withheld] as he and Ms [partner name withheld] drove along with their car windows open.

Mr [name withheld] said: “All I could make out was ‘schools’ and ‘paedophiles’. I was distressed by it.

On another occasion on October 9 the same year, Mr [name withheld] and Ms [partner name withheld] had returned to their home when Robertson passed by in the passenger seat of a red car, leaned across the driver and yelled “paedo”.

Mr [name withheld] claimed to have a log of 140 other incidents where Robertson had targeted them.

Ms [partner name withheld] said the abuse had prevented the couple from moving on after Mr [name withheld] was released from prison.

Sobbing in the witness box, the 59-year-old said: “Our home’s not our home. We can’t relax there, we are continually watching who walks down the street.”

Asked by Robertson’s defence agent, John McLaughlin, if the incidents had been fabricated, she said: “I wouldn’t go to these lengths just to get someone into trouble.”

Robertson denied either incident had occurred and accused Ms [partner name withheld] of putting on an act for the court.

She said that she had learned of Mr [name withheld]'s conviction from a neighbour and while she thought it was “disgusting” she had no issue with him living nearby.

However, she had an argument with him.

Sheriff Foulis determined that it was “beyond reasonable doubt that (Robertson) shouted abuse at Mr [name withheld].”

Sentence was deferred for 12 months for Robertson to be of good behaviour.

UK - Baby-faced woman (Emma Hall), 21, faces life in jail after leading vigilante gang who murdered teenager falsely accused of rape

Emma Hall
Original Article

04/17/2013

By SAM WEBB

A woman is facing a life sentence for leading a vigilante gang who tortured and brutally killed a teenager wrongly accused of rape.

Emma Hall, 21, of Romford, showed no emotion as she was found guilty of murdering [name withheld], 18, at the Old Bailey.

Her friends James Danby, 27, and Tony O’Toole, 30, were also convicted of murder.

Mr [name withheld] was savagely beaten to death in May last year after an 18-year-old girl pointed him out to Hall during a chance meeting and claimed she had been raped by him two years before.

She had made a complaint to police but the matter was dropped when she withdrew the allegation.

Police found no evidence that a rape had taken place.

The teenager and Hall were visiting friends at a house in Romford, Essex, where Mr [name withheld] was also staying.

He was beaten up in a room and dumped on wasteland in Woodford Green, east London.

Simon Denison QC, prosecuting, said: 'She told the others that he was the person she had told Hall about at the time who had raped her.'

'The men, over a prolonged period of time, severely beat him up by punching and kicking him to the head, so he was bleeding heavily from his injuries and his face was terribly swollen.'

Hall then drove Danby and O’Toole and Mr [name withheld] to a lane where he was taken to the bank of a stream and 'finished off'.

Mr Denison said: 'They killed him by punching and kicking him and stamping on his head many, many times.'

'The bones in his face were crushed.'

The killers then bought petrol and set fire to their bloody clothing, before cleaning up bloodstains at the house.

The following evening, Hall drove them and another man to the spot where the body had been covered with a mattress and other rubbish.

Mr Denison said: 'They had with them knives and a pair of bolt cutters that they were intending to use to mutilate his body to make it more difficult for him to be identified by cutting off his fingers and removing his teeth.'

But Hall had secretly tipped off police to divert guilt from herself, and officers were waiting for them when they arrived.

Mr Denison told the jury: 'His murder was quite extraordinarily callous, violent and brutal.'

Billy Duggan
Two years earlier, the teenage girl had claimed she was raped 'but when what she was saying was examined more closely by police, it was clear that she was not in fact saying that he had raped her', added Mr Denison.

Hall and Danby were also found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and perverting justice.

O’Toole was also found guilty of perverting justice and conspiracy to pervert justice along with Danby.

Billy Duggan, 21, was found guilty of perverting justice and conspiracy to pervert justice.

The defendants, who were all from Romford, were remanded in custody to be sentenced next week.

Jovan Roberts, 28, was cleared of murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and Khalid Hassan, 20, was cleared of conspiracy to pervert justice. They were discharged.

CA - Wanetta Gibson Lawsuit: School Sues Woman Over False Rape Accusation

Wanetta Gibson
Original Article

04/13/2013

LONG BEACH - The Long Beach Unified School District is suing a woman who falsely accused a former high school football star of rape in hopes of recovering legal fees and a $750,000 settlement paid to her.

The Long Beach Press-Telegram reported Thursday (http://bit.ly/16TjOrb) that the district alleged Wanetta Gibson committed contractual fraud in a lawsuit filed last November.

Gibson was 15 when she accused Brian Banks of attacking her on their high school campus. He insisted the sexual contact with Gibson was consensual, but pleaded no contest to forcible rape on the advice of his lawyer and spent more than five years in prison.

When he got out of prison, Gibson reached out to Banks on Facebook.

During an initial meeting with him, she said she had lied and offered to help him clear his record. But she refused to repeat the story to prosecutors because she feared she would have to return a settlement from a civil lawsuit brought by her mother against the school district.

During a second meeting that was secretly videotaped by a private investigator, she told Banks, "`I will go through with helping you, but it's like at the same time all that money they gave us, I mean gave me, I don't want to have to pay it back."

The tape ultimately led to Banks' exoneration in May 2012.

The district is also trying to recoup about $1.9 million that was spent defending itself against Gibson, and is seeking another $1 million in punitive damages.

However, its lawyers apparently have been unable to locate her.

Banks, once a star middle linebacker at Long Beach Polytechnic High School, said he had verbally agreed to attend USC on a scholarship when he was arrested.

He recently signed a contract to play with the Atlanta Falcons and has become a spokesman for the California Innocence Project, which works to exonerate the wrongly accused.

TX - Trooper (Kelley Helleson) charged with sexual assault after roadside cavity search

Kelley Helleson
Original Article

03/26/2013

DALLAS (KTVT/KTXA/CNN) - Experts say the stakes couldn't be higher for the female state trooper who conducted a roadside cavity search of two women captured on dashcam video.

A Dallas County grand jury indicted trooper Kelley Helleson on two counts of sexual assault and two counts of official oppression.

She has also been fired, a decision she is appealing.

The grand jury also indicted trooper David Farrell on a theft charge after one of the women complained her prescription bottle of painkillers went missing after the search.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says Farrell remains suspended pending the outcome of an administrative investigation.

"In the course of doing her job, by going beyond of what the law allowed her to do, she could find herself as a registered sex offender for the rest of her life if she's convicted," said Peter Schulte, a Dallas attorney and a reserve police officer. "It's all going to come down to who does the jury believe?"

Helleson's attorney says his client passed a tough lie detector test, and neither assaulted nor fondled Angela and Ashley Dobbs.

Experts say the cavity search conducted on the side of the road raises the question of how the trooper was trained in the first place.

The Texas DPS regulations state, "Any search that unreasonably invades the bodily integrity of a citizen is in violation of the Fourth Amendment and is therefore in violation of DPS policy."

Schulte says the indictments against both troopers in this case may place other investigations in jeopardy.

"Any cases that are set for trial involving these two troopers are going to have to get disposed of because the DA's office can't sponsor their testimony," he said.

NJ - 14-Year-Old New Jersey Girl To Register As Sex Offender After Posting Nude Photos On Myspace?

Original Article

02/18/2013

By Evan Bleier

A 14-year-old New Jersey girl is facing child pornography charges for posting almost 30 nude photos of herself on MySpace. If she is convicted, the girl may have to register as a sex offender.

According to The Daily News, this case is just one example of a larger effort by law enforcement officials across the country to crack down on child pornography. Prosecutors now routinely bring charges resulting from kids sending nude photos to one another over cell phones and e-mail. This case may be unique in that it is the first one where charges were filed based on a teen posting photos on a social networking site.

The explicit posting was brought to the attention of law enforcement by The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. MySpace has yet to comment on the matter. The company does have an internal team that is supposed to review image postings but it appears they may have missed this one.

After the Passaic County Sherriff’s Office began their investigation, the photos that they discovered online were “very explicit.” The sheriff’s spokesman, Bill Maer, said that girl posted the photos of herself because she wanted her boyfriend to be able to see them. “We consider this case a wake-up call to parents,” Maer said.

After officially being charged with possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography, the girl was released into the custody of her mother. The girl’s name has not been made public because of her age.

If the girl is found guilty of the distribution charge, she would have to register with the state as a sex offender because of the provisions set forth by Megan’s Law. She would also be facing up to 17 years in prison.

No matter what happens, it sounds as if this case is a first.

I’m not sure I’ve seen a prosecution like this coming out of a social networking site,” said Seth Kreimer, a constitutional law professor at the University of Pennsylvania.

NH - Lawyer (Lisa Biron) found guilty in child pornography trial

Lisa Biron
Original Article

01/10/2013

Prosecutors say woman used girl as sexual object

Lisa Biron, 43, was accused of videotaping the girl having sex with two men. Biron faced eight federal indictments on charges of child sexual exploitation, transporting a child across state lines to produce child pornography and possession of child pornography, and was convicted on all of them after the jury deliberated for less than an hour.

The trial began Wednesday, with prosecutors calling to the stand two men who said Biron videotaped them having sex with the 14-year-old.

The final witness for the prosecution was an FBI agent who specializes in computer forensics. He testified that he retrieved pornographic images from a computer that had Biron listed as the owner. He said a confiscated iPhone also had a sexually explicit video involving the girl.

"It was difficult to present because you were presenting very graphic evidence to people who aren't exposed to this on a daily basis, but in terms of putting the case together, it was relatively easy because the evidence was created by the defendant herself, and it was video evidence that really does speak for itself," said U.S. Attorney John Kacavas.

A couple of phone calls recorded while Biron was in jail led off closing arguments for the government. In one call, Biron was heard talking to her father and saying of the 14-year-old girl that "she had a part in this."

Assistant U.S. Attorney Helen Fitzgibbon said the call is typical of Biron placing the blame for her problems on a young girl.

Fitzgibbon told the jury that this is a very straightforward case about a woman who used the girl as a sexual object and videotaped it. She said the evidence is clear that Biron took the girl to Canada to make the video and that she exploited the girl, encouraging her to drink, smoke marijuana and have sex.

"It was just very difficult, and I don't think I should say much more than that," said juror Peter Evans. "The evidence was pretty overwhelming, and the decision, I'm sure, was accurate."

The defense called no witnesses. Defense attorney James Moir told the jury things are not as clear as prosecutors claimed. He said the case is not about whether Biron is a good or bad person but rather, whether the government proved each element of the charges against her.

UK - Teen is brutally beaten and killed over false allegations of rape by Alice Hall

Original Article

01/08/2013

Five killers carried out the 'extraordinarily callous, violent and brutal' murder of a teenager after the sister of one wrongly claimed he had raped her, a court heard today.

[victim name withheld], 18, was punched and kicked to death by the gang, who planned to slice off his fingers and pull out his teeth so the body could not be identified.

The victim, who was 5ft 7ins tall and weight just seven stone, had the misfortune to move into a council house when Alice Hall, who made the false allegation, was there, the Old Bailey heard.

Even though the case had been dropped, Hall claimed again that she had been attacked by [victim name withheld]  the court was told.

Her sister Emma Hall, 21, and four friends killed Mr [victim name withheld] by 'punching and kicking and stamping on his head many times,' said prosecutor Simon Denison.

The victim was taken to a stream where he was killed on the bank. His body was covered with a mattress. The gang planned to return to mutilate the body.

Mr Denison added: "His murder was quite extraordinarily callous and violent and brutal."

The gang also burnt their clothes and mopped up bloodstains from the house.

But Emma Hall had called the police and told them about the plan to return to the body and officers were waiting for the gang.

Mr Denison said two years before Alice Hall had made a complaint to the police about the victim.

"She initially claimed that he had raped her.'

"But when what she was saying was examined more closely by the police it was clear that she was not in fact saying he had raped her and no further action was taken."

The gang are said to have attacked Mr [victim name withheld] at the bungalow in Crow Lane, Romford, Essex.

The injured victim was then driven to a patch of land in nearby Woodford Green where the assault continued.

TX - Female cop (Kellie Helleson) performs cavity search on two women during traffic stop by David Farrell, should be in prison and on the sex offender registry for life! This is sexual assault!

Original Article

Two Texas women are suing after state troopers subjected them to a humiliating and invasive 'roadside body cavity search' that was caught on video.

Female trooper Kellie Helleson is seen in the footage aggressively searching the private parts of [name withheld], 38, and her niece, [name withheld], 24, in front of passing cars.

The women, who claim the trooper used the same rubber glove for both of them, were initially stopped by Helleson's colleague David Farrell on State Highway 161 near Irving after he saw one of them throw a cigarette butt out the window.
- And if one had a disease, this officer could've spread it to the other. Yeah, I hope they win in court!

Farrell can be heard in the disturbing video questioning the pair about marijuana though he failed to find any evidence of the drug in the vehicle.

However, he requested the women be searched after allegedly claiming they were 'acting weird.'

The lawsuit states he then tried to 'morph this situation into a DWI investigation,' according to the Dallas Morning News.

[name withheld] passed a roadside sobriety test and the women were given warnings for littering.

[name withheld] said Helleson irritated an anal cyst she suffers from during the search, causing her 'severe and continuing pain and discomfort.'

The suit said: '[name withheld] was overwhelmed with emotion and a feeling of helplessness and reacted stating that Helleson had just violated her in a most horrific manner.'

The two women are also suing the director of the Texas Department of Public Safety, Steven McCraw, who they claim ignored previous complaints about 'unlawful strip searches, cavity searches and the like.'

The [name withheld]' lawyer Scott H. Palmer said the shocking incident, which was filmed on one of the trooper's dash-mounted cameras, was a roadside 'sexual assault.'

He said the Texas Rangers investigated his clients' complaints but failed to take any action against the troopers.

'You can see what's happening clearly,' he told the Dallas Morning News of the video. 'No one's ever seen the likes of this. We can't let them get away with it.'

PA - Renada Williams lies about sexual assault, gets Shown Aiken & brother to attack / sodomize him

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A 23-year-old Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 6-12 years in prison for a vicious and sadistic vigilante-justice attack — in retaliation for a crime that did not happen.

Authorities say a woman set up the victim with a false rape claim.

The beating victim testified that Renada Williams, 31, invited him over for sex. Later, authorities say, 23-year-old Shown Aiken and his teenaged brother arrived, prompted by a call from Williams claiming she had been sexually assaulted.

They went over to her house, kicked in the door, found the victim completely vulnerable and naked in the middle of the bedroom,” notes prosecutor Joseph McGlynn. “They began beating him with an extenstion cord, with a two-by-four, and ultimately they sodimized him with a broomstick after they taunted him and told him he was going to feel what it was like to be raped.”
- So, he is sentenced to 6-12 years and she to 23 months, so are they going to be put on the sex offender registry when they get out?  She should've got more prison time than the man who attacked the person, since she instigated the whole thing.

The victim says he suffered a collapsed lung, broken ribs, and other injuries, and was hospitalized for a week.

The motive for the setup is unclear, although some items were stolen from the victim.

The woman pleaded guilty earlier and was sentenced to up to 23 months in prison. The teen is being handled in the juvenile system.

WA - Tears and forgiveness as Longview dad, daughter speak on false rape allegations

Original Article

12/11/2012

By Alyssa Kleven

A Longview father, wrongly accused of raping his own child tearfully spoke out on national television with his daughter at his side.

[accuser name withheld] was 11 years old in 2001 when she accused her father of rape. Now, as a 23-year-old, she apologized to her now-free dad on "Katie."

"Thank you for being a good dad and I'm sorry for my wrong perspective as a child about you," she told her dad, [father name withheld], on the show. "I'm glad you're here for me now."

Last January, [accuser name withheld] told police she made up the rape allegations when she was a child.

"I was just angry and upset because I felt like he wasn't around enough and you know, broken promises and stuff like that," [accuser name withheld] said. Host Katie Couric asked her if she had just wanted more of her dad, "I did. I wanted more of my dad."

[father name withheld] denied the rape allegations at the time but was convicted and sentenced to more than 15 years in prison. After serving nearly a decade, he was released and all charges against him were dismissed.

When he was released, "I felt joy, I felt security. Knowing that my prayer had finally been answered. I had hope and faith all along," [father name withheld] said.

As an innocent man in prison, [father name withheld] said it was scary and horrible: not knowing from one second to the next what was going to come at him.

When he was released, and [accuser name withheld], now an adult, was reunited with her dad, she feared his response.

"I didn't really know for sure what he was thinking or what he was going to say or anything like that. Then I saw he took his hand out from behind his back and had a bouquet of flowers for me. So I melted right there. It was awesome."

In April when [accuser name withheld] recanted her story, prosecutors said they were unsure whether she lied in 2001 or is lying now. Cowlitz County Prosecutor Sue Baur said there was sufficient evidence for a jury to convict [father name withheld] at the time.

"It's impossible for anyone to know what the truth is, isn't it?" Baur had said. "There is basically no way that a jury now would be able to convict [...] when she's recanting now. But, technically that doesn't mean that anybody has made a finding that she lied back then."

Baur said her office would not seek to have the case tried again, and that the statute of limitations prevents her office from charging the daughter with false reporting.

TX - 12-year-old US student arrested for 'accidentally' taking nude photo of classmate

Laws meant to "protect" children are ruining their lives!  So if she immediately deleted the photo, then what's the problem?

12/09/2012

A 12-year-old student was detained by police after accidentally taking a photo of a half-naked classmate in a locker room. Though she immediately deleted the picture, she was reportedly arrested and handcuffed by the police the next day.

The unidentified student said on Thursday that she wanted to photograph herself with a friend using one of her iPhone’s two cameras, but accidentally selected the wrong lens, according to an ABC report. The result, she claimed, was an unintentionally racy picture of another young girl.

"She was just pulling down her pants, but not all the way – barely," the girl said.

The girl said she immediately deleted the picture she snapped by mistake in front of the girl involved. But on Friday, she was arrested for illicit photography.

The girl was pulled out of class at the Alice Johnson Junior High in of Harris County, Texas. Police reportedly handcuffed her, put her into a patrol car and took her into custody.

"They took me to the cop car and told me to put my hands behind my back," the 12-year-old told KRIV.

"I'd say this is akin to a child being kicked out of school for buying an aspirin," attorney Jack Carroll said. "It reminds me of the overreactive, overzealousness by school districts."

The girl has been suspended from school for three days and is being sent to an alternative school for another 30 days; her family is appealing the latter sentence.

Police refused to comment on the investigation because of the involvement of minors.

A University of Memphis student was charged with making a false report Thursday, accused of lying about a sexual assault near campus.

Students are shocked. They can't believe someone would do that, unnecessarily scaring a lot of people.

"I think it's really bad people making up stuff like that," student John Kelsey said. "I mean it's a serious matter, the things like that she accused somebody of doing."

Memphis police charged 19-year-old University of Memphis student Anne Campbell with making up a story about being sexually assaulted by an unknown man on Mynders, a busy street right where many students live with a couple of fraternity houses right in the shadow of the university.

Students were shocked to hear it was all made up.

It created a lot of fear in students who got a text or email from the university warning them of the reported attack.

"I was scared," student Savannah London said. "I'm not from around here. I didn't know what to do. My family was really nervous for me."

According to Anne Campbell's Facebook page she is in the class of 2015. She is studying English and Spanish at the University of Memphis. She went to Millington Central high. And her 20th birthday is Sunday. She is charged with filing a false police report.

"I was scared really quick and then something like this happens, she just made it up," said student Caronina Carmichael.

While students are relieved, they are not letting their guard down.

Anne Campbell is still behind bars. Police have not released a motive for the false report about the alleged sexual assault.
