ROCHESTER - A former Rochester-area jail guard has been sentenced to six months behind bars for sexually abusing seven female inmates over the course of two years.
- If the average citizen abused seven people, you can bet they'd get a lot more time behind bars than this.

Local media outlets report 41-year-old Robert Wilson of Greece was sentenced Wednesday in state Supreme Court in Rochester, where he pleaded guilty to a 21-count indictment in April.

Wilson admitted having oral sex with one inmate and touched six others through their clothing while working at the county jail.

The 17-year veteran resigned from his job after he was charged in September.

In addition to the jail time, Wilson will be on probation for 10 years and must register as a sex offender.

"- If the average citizen abused seven people, you can bet they'd get a lot more time behind bars than this." I agree. But also generally men like this lose their pensions, jobs, and so forth, so some judges take this into consideration as to sentencing and you read about lower time. Also consider the fact this guy will have a wonderful time in prison, and will probably be kept out of general population not to mention his "ex" fellow guard buddies giving him their opinion(s), or even transferred out of state. Oh yes, they do these things
